The Benefits of owning an Air Purifier

A lot of people suffer from air allergies or asthma, and air purifiers can be a great solution. Air purifiers remove air allergens like pollen, pet dander, dust mites, bacteria and mold spores from the air. In this blog post we will discuss what an air purifier is and why you might need one.

Air pollution has been linked to many health problems including asthma attacks, bronchitis, headaches and nausea. With so much information out there about air quality it makes sense that more people are looking for solutions on how to clean their air indoors as well as outdoors. Because air purifiers help clean the air indoors, they can make a huge difference in your health.

What does an Air Purifier do??

Air purifiers work by pulling tiny pollutants that may cause health issues, like dust, bacteria, mold, allergens, viruses, and chemicals, out of the air. Among the many air purification technologies, the most common is trapping particles on a filter.

Air purifiers don't just filter out air allergens like pollen and pet dander; they also trap harmful chemicals and volatile organic compounds that might be floating around in your air at home or even outdoors (if you're using it while running errands for example).

Kids with asthma are especially sensitive to air pollutants since their lungs aren’t as developed as adults. Asthma triggers include airborne chemicals such as gasoline fumes, smoke from cigarettes and cooking oil vapors so an air purifier is definitely something parents should consider buying if their kids have asthma or other respiratory ailments.

An air purifier will remove particulates from the air which means fewer air pollutants will be floating around your air. First and foremost, the pandemic has more consumers looking for ways to safeguard their homes, offices and other indoor spaces against airborne viruses

Couple Breathing clean air

An air purifier is a device that uses air filters to clean indoor air. There are three different types of air cleaning systems:

- Electrostatic Precipitators, often called "electrostatic precipitators" or ESPs. These devices use static electricity generated by metal plates charged with high voltage electrodes which charges the particles in air. The charged particles are then attracted to grounded collection plates where they will be trapped.

- High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters are air purifiers that filter out 99.97% of all 0.03 micrometer airborne particulates from the air passing through them per federal law in America which is about 100 times smaller than a speck of dust visible to the naked eye!

- Activated carbon or charcoal air filters can remove chemicals, odors and smoke from air with activated carbon granules by adsorbing compounds onto its surface so these air cleaners utilize two types of air cleaning technologies with one device - electrostatic precipitators for large particles followed by activated carbon or charcoal filtration for the small particles and chemicals.

An air purifier can be a great way to clear the air of harmful pollutants in your home or office environment, so if you suffer from allergies or respiratory ailments such as asthma an air cleaner could help improve your quality of life.
